Thanks for your thoughts. It is buried ...Hi Mark,

Thanks for your thoughts. It is buried in my blog somewhere, but I'm actually planning on homesteading somewhere in NW Oregon or SW Washington. I actually found 31 acres for a reasonable price near Humptulips, WA on the Olympic peninsula that I'm in contact with the owner about.

As you read through my blog, please continue to comment! I love to hear feedback from others, it keeps me grounded and encouraged. And I appreciate you thinking about donating to the Land Fund. I myself am mired in a little bit of student debt, which is one of the reasons I set up my land fund. I cannot qualify for certain loans because of my debt/income ratio. The Land Fund will help me put a larger down payment down, or even buy the property outright. If you ever find yourself with a few cents extra and want to donate, that'd be great, but I personally think that debt is financial cancer, so I encourage you to use every spare penny you have to pay off your debt. My next post will actually be talking about economics and personal finance a little bit, so come back to read it. It should be posted tomorrow or Tuesday.

Thanks again!Kylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17407379092877118260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8149753438637467857.post-34637414071560600672009-11-07T23:40:48.480-08:002009-11-07T23:40:48.480-08:00sorry to hear the bad news. If it's any conso...sorry to hear the bad news. If it's any consolation, I live kinda near Orcas (victoria, bc), and it's raining buckets here lately. To be honest, i wish i was in the desert!

I kind of question your logic in wanting to learn permaculture in the pacific NW if your intent is to practice in arizona. sure, the general principles are transferrable, but the application is totally region-specific.

maybe you're answered this question elsewhere on the blog- i'll have to look around some more. i just found it tonight, and it's good reading so far.

best of luck. i'd donate to your land fund but i'm so far in the hole with student debt that it's gonna take a lottery win to equal things out again.
take care,

markmark burnhamnoreply@blogger.com
